Fashion Show with Cafe Vino Models
Last fall one of our own and most popular, William Maestas, took on the task of producing a fundraiser fashion show called Current // A Runway for Our River. The goal of Current was to help raise funds for “Save the Poudre”, a local non-profit whose mission is to protect and restore the Cache la Poudre River. The River is as a special place, widely known for its clean water, wildlife, bike trails, fishing, and boating; that benefits tourism and the local economy. The Poudre is the only river in Colorado designated as a federal “Wild and Scenic” river and is threatened to be de-watered by a proposed reservoir project near Ted’s Place.
We as a local, employee owned business, felt Will’s passion for this cause and wanted to support the event. Vino showed up in full force, several of the 60 models were part of our staff, and provided as much support as we could through sponsorship. Over 200 people attended the show and over $1600 was donated to “Save the Poudre”. We can’t wait to see what Will does next, probably something in April.
